TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
Welcome to Emerald Travel Tours Co. By booking or participating in any of our tours and experiences, you agree to comply with the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully prior to confirming your reservation.
1. Bookings and Payments
Confirmation: A booking is considered confirmed once the required deposit or full payment is received and an official voucher is issued.
Pricing: All prices are quoted in Colombian Pesos (COP) or US Dollars (USD) as specified. We reserve the right to modify prices prior to booking confirmation.
2. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Customer Cancellations:
Cancellations made more than 48 hours in advance will receive a 100% refund (minus third-party processing fees).
Cancellations made between 24 and 48 hours prior to departure are subject to a 50% cancellation fee.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the tour start time or no-shows are strictly non-refundable.
Weather & Force Majeure Cancellations: We reserve the right to alter itineraries or cancel tours if weather conditions or safety concerns endanger our guests. In such cases, options for rescheduling or a full refund will be provided.
3. Health, Fitness & Safety
Trekking and Eco-Tours: Certain tours (such as La Chorrera or Finca La Esmeralda) require moderate physical effort, hiking on uneven terrain, or high-altitude environments above 2,500 m.a.s.l. Guests are responsible for notifying us of any pre-existing medical conditions or physical limitations beforehand.
Code of Conduct: Emerald Travel Tours Co. reserves the right to refuse service to any individual whose behavior compromises the safety or enjoyment of the group.
4. Liability and Insurance
Travel Insurance: We strongly recommend that all international guests hold valid travel or health insurance while traveling in Colombia.
Personal Belongings: The agency is not liable for the loss, theft, or damage of personal items during tours.
